Emma's Dance Story...

Emma began her dance training in her hometown of Liverpool, attending weekly classes at the Egerton School of Dance. She then went on to train at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA), graduating with a BA (hons) degree in Performing Arts (Dance).


During her time at LIPA, Emma trained in many styles of dance, acting, singing, choreography, musical theatre and performance. She was also given many opportunities to perform professionally, credits include; ‘Top Of The Pops Awards 2001 - Westlife’ (MEN Arena), Manchester XVII Commonwealth Games, choreographed by Arlene Philips and Karen Bruce and Paul McCartney’s ‘Back In The World’ concert (Liverpool).


Since graduating Emma has worked consistently in the entertainment industry as a dancer, singer, actress and choreographer. She has had a very diverse career, working in many areas of the industry including theatre, TV, film, concerts, music videos, cruise ships and corporate work. It is through this work that she has worked alongside many renowned artists and creatives, learning more about her craft and picking up tips along the way.

Cruise Ships - 'Celebrity Cruises' Production Shows (Dance Captain).

TV - ‘Emmerdale: Paddy and Marlon’s Big Night In (Featured Dancer -DVD)’, â€˜Lycamobile – Touch’ (Ballet Dancer - Commercial).

Emma has choreographed numerous musical productions for the Live Nation Stage Experience including ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ and ‘Oliver’ (Grand Opera House, York). This involved working with children and young adults introducing them to the world of musical theatre and dance and offering them a chance to perform in a professional theatre. 


She worked for New Pantomime Productions Ltd between 2003 and 2013 as Choreographer, Dance Captain and Understudy Principal Girl in many pantomimes including 'Cinderella', 'Aladdin', 'Snow White & the Seven Dwarves' and 'Jack & the Beanstalk'. (Kings Theatre, Southsea/Southport Theatre, Southport/Grand Opera House, York/Princess Theatre, Torquay/The Brindley, Runcorn).

Over the years, Emma has spent a lot of time choreographing and performing for ‘The Dance Mob’ for major brands and events in the UK and internationally. She also choreographed a flash mob for the ‘Kick Ash’ campaign in Cambridge – aimed at preventing smoking in young people.

​

Emma was also involved in a short film titled 'Below' for Alfie Barker Productions, in which she choreographed and performed a duet in the foxtrot style.


Most recently, Emma worked on Series 2 of the ‘Jane and Friends’ TV show for Channel 5 as Assistant Choreographer.
